Lillian Allyn Wilson: May 2009

We had our 20 week appointment and ultrasound yesterday. Baby didn't cooperate very well during the ultrasound, but they got the measurements of everything they needed to....like the heart and kidneys and all that...although we couldn't tell what any of that was! We did finally get a picture of the face and feet...with lots of pushing and prodding to get baby to turn a bit. Its head was way down low, so this was a challenge. Every was said to look good and baby measured EXACTLY on...to the day. The heartbeat was 148 and it is 11 oz in weight. We didn't find out if it is a boy or girl, although we do have the answer in an envelope, that Pete took out of my possession as soon as we walked out the door. I guess he doesn't trust me with it!! :0)
I am finally starting to feel a little better. I am only sick after supper now....so we are progressively getting there! Hopefully soon it will only be from 10 on and I will sleep through it! I am starting to look a little more pregnant. I had one of my students tell me this week that they are pretty sure my baby grew a lot over night because my belly all of the sudden was bigger. (I think it was just the shirt probably!) The kids at school are mad that I didn't get Pete talked into finding out if it is a boy or girl and want me to find out before school is out because they "just can't take it"!! They are pretty funny about it all. For 13 year olds, they are pretty interested in all of it. Somedays I feel like we cover more science than we do math!
We have only 5 days of school left....and man and I ready to be done!! Can't wait for Syd's graduation and our trip to Florida!!
