Summer....finally!

Well...I think I am finally back home for more than 6 days in a row. I just returned from a 2 week trip back to Spearfish. I was there first for a class at BHSU, and then we lost Grandad on June 12, so I stayed for another week. I am so grateful that I was able to be there for that week before he died. I got to spend time with him that I would not have had I been home. It was also wonderful to be with my family during this time. I am so blessed. I posted some pictures from the day of his funeral. It was the most perfect prairie day...as is fitting for a near perfect man! We were so lucky to have him in our lives for as long as we did, but we will miss him so very much none-the-less.

I have been feeling great still! And I have grown a ton...or so I think. Pete's comment after not seeing me for 2 weeks was, "They must feed you pretty well on this side of the state!" Funny guy! I go in next Thursday for my 28 week appointment and get to drink the yummy orange stuff for my gestational diabetes test! Yippee! Will post another update after that appointment. Until then enjoy all the pictures!

Graduations, Florida and more

We have had quite an event filled past month. I was so happy to sleep in my own bed more than one night at a time this week. Syd's graduation was very nice. I still can't believe that the baby is all grown up. She was just a little 2nd grader when I left for college! How time flies!

We had a blast in Florida dispite ALL the rain. We saw the sun for just a few hours one morning! They said that the first 3 days that we were there, they got more rain than during the 3 big hurricanes of 2004! Seriously...what is the luck! It was still so wonderful to be on vacation...and stormy weather in Florida still yeilds 70 degree weather! Dan and Heather treated us to a mini honeymoon while we were there getting us a beach front hotel room....with roses, candles and all. It was so kind of them and hearing the ocean all night long was amazing!! We are so thankful for the hospitality of Heather's aunt and uncle and can't wait to go back again!

I ended up back in Spearfish the day after we returned from Florida for a funeral of a family friend. :( But then got to stay the whole week with the family before Pete traveled out for James' graduation in Rapid to take me home. It was nice to see all the Wilsons as it seems it has been quite a while.

I am finally home getting my summer stuff done. I don't have a job (yet???), so I have just been playing catch-up on the last month this week. I feel like I am finally getting there...but we head off again tomorrow for a wedding in NE and then I am on to Spearfish for a week long class at BHSU. Pete is busy with driver's ed. I don't know how he does it...it scares me just to think of him in the car with those kids!
I am finally feeling better!! YEAH!!! I have been done being sick for about the past month. It is wonderful! We had a Drs. appointment yesterday and all was well with baby. The heartrate is still at about 145. I go back in 4 weeks for the gestational diabetes test and all that. I have heard how wonderful that orange stuff is! :)
