Lily patty cake

Jumping Johnny...I mean Lily

April Update

Well April started out by taking a trip across the state to Gma and Gpa T's for our nice long Easter Break...(Wed-Mon!).  Lily entertained everyone by showing them her new trick of playing patty cake, talking, smiling, giggling, & chewing on her toes...she has learned how to get them over her budda belly!  She looked beautiful on Easter in her pretty pink dress.  She got spoiled by the Easter bunny and Grandma & Grandpa.  We stopped by Aunt Stacy's for a night on the way home. Lily got to take a bath in her big, new sink!
She is starting to move around much more....one morning I came into to find her on her tummy in her bed.  She still won't roll over very much when she is playing...but we know she can since she does it in her sleep.  She is also starting to figure out some new words...she has got Da-da down to a T...still waiting for ma-ma!! :0)  She has a fake little "woody the woodpecker" laugh and a fake cough that she uses when she wants some attention.
By the end of the month she had learned a few more new tricks...waving bye-bye, "winking" (with both eyes) and doing so big...or so Rick and Kae say.  They are the only ones who have seen it so far.  We had to drive across the state to show grandma and grandpa our tricks too!  (Really Daddy had an interview for a principal job in Upton...and HE GOT THE JOB!!!)  So we are in the process of getting the house on the market and getting ready to head back west!  We are really excited, but SOOOOO sad to leave our friends, jobs and daycare here in Sioux Falls!!!!

Lily's 6 Month Photos

Lily & her jumperoo

March update

Um....where have the last few months gone??  There have been many changes and lots of action.  So...
March
Lily turned 6 months old and guess what she got for her birthday??  A tooth.  It poked through on the day!  She has started to sit up...a little wobbly...but she would rather sit up. She loves to grab things....especially Mommy's earrings, hair, glasses, or anything else she can get her little fingers on.  She loves her jumperoo and jumps like a wild woman.  We had a good weekend visit from Gma and Gpa T and they brought Kaden and Avery to visit too!!  There were lots and lots of giggles!!  Lily also coached her first bball game.  She sat on the bench with mommy the first game and yelled at those boys.  She took a nap in one of the boy's mom's arms the 2nd game!!
At her 6 month appointment she weighed 18 lbs and was 27 inches long...both right at the 90th percentile.  The Dr. was pretty impressed with how well she can sit up on her own already!
She is chewing on everything she can get her hands on...including her own hand...she flips her hand upside down and chews on her pinky and ring finger...she is so silly. She talks like a girl too....non-stop.  She sings herself to sleep and with every bite when she eats!!  Speaking of eating...she started on baby food.  Peas were first...and she has liked everything she has tried so far.  The month ended with tooth # 2 coming in. Right in time for Easter!!!  Which takes us to...April!
