One month +

Well, we reached our 1 month birthday a week ago!  I can't believe how fast time has gone. I  know everyone tells you how fast it goes...and it is more true than I would have thought.  Lily took her first big road trip last weekend as we traveled back to the hills for a visit and baby shower.  She traveled very well.  We only had to stop to feed her...otherwise she was quiet.  What a good girl.  Grandma and Grandpa met us at the door when we rolled in late Friday night.  G'pa hadn't seen her since she was just a day old and G'ma since she was a little over a week.  They were pretty excited to see her.  G'ma had our bedroom all set up with crib and mommy's baby stuff.  It was sweet!!  On Sat we went to meet great-great Uncle Fritz who was so excited to meet her.  Then on to Belle to Tessa's for a wonderful baby shower.  People are so generous!!  Lily got more clothes than will fit in her closet!!  She also got to meet Great Grandma Ammie for the first time!  Sunday she got to meet many people at church, great-great Auntie Pauline and Aunt Joanie and "Aunt" Margie. Monday our trip back home had many detours as we stopped at Mikes to meet that family and then ventured up to Pierre to meet the remaining Kolbecks we hadn't met yet.  It was a long day...13 hours from start of trip to finish...but the breaks along the way were nice.  Now we are getting settled back in at home.  I am trying to get a little further on my list of to-dos...but never seem to get far each day.  Where does the time go???!!!  We went to a new baby and me class yesterday and got to weigh Lily and she is up to 9lbs!  She is growing so fast.  She is finally growing out of some newborn clothes and into some 0-3 months.  We will keep updating as we have time.  Enjoy the new pics.

22 Days old already!!!

Wow...how time flies!!  Lily is 22 days old already.  She is really starting to change!  She still has her days and nights mixed up.  Mom is REALLY READY for her to figure that out and sleep a little more at night.  She is a very good baby though.  I was informed by my sister when I was saying she was fussy, that "Oh my goodness, if that is her fussy, I don't like you!" In other words, I guess compared to other babies she isn't fussy at all.  Like I have anything to compare it to.  We enjoyed our time with Aunt Calli and thank her for all her help while she was here!!  Now we have had everyone out to see her...except Kevin, Kaden and the great-grandmas/aunties.  I don't know what I am going to do next week without any overnight visitors.  I am going to have to call my friend around here and beg them to come see me! :0) Amber came down from the cities for a couple of days too, so the door has been a revolving one.  (But I love the company and don't mind a bit!)
Our basement is almost done, so soon we will have some more room to house even more!  The carpet got finished up yesterday and we hope to get the rest of our cabinetry next week...then there are just a few loose ends after that and we should be completely done!  YAY!!!  It has been a pretty quick process and Lily and I are ready to have Daddy around a little more when he won't have to be downstairs working himself to the bone every night!  Enjoy the new pictures!  Come visit when you can.  We will be back in Spearfish next weekend for a "Come Meet Lily Shower".  Hope to see some of you then.

Finally captured her grin...

Oh, the life of a baby...

Smiling again...

The "poop face" as Grandma Patty would say.
